Last session

Well I'm stuck in my car on the 401. There's been an accident and we're not moving.

I took out $200 after the tournament, and tried my luck at a 2/5 table. It was a new table, so nobody could start with more than $200.

I found some great hands right away. AA, 2 x KK, QQ, JJ and built my stack up to $450. Then I got 10-10 and lost a big pot when a guy made a set of 2s on a 257 flop.

I ended up making just under $300 in a two hour session.

My favorite hand went like this: everyone folds, only the small blind and myself (BB) left. In all the cash games I had played until then, the blinds just chopped and took back their money. But this guy doesn't want to chop, he raises $25. I tell him: "you're sure you don't want to chop? ok, I'll call and try to suckout on you". I have 9-10 spades... flop comes 9-9-10!! He bets out $50, I put him all-in (only $25 more) - he calls and shows pocket Kings. That hand alone made my drive home so much more enjoyable... he got what he deserved and I got some redemption from all the bad beats I had suffered.
